Entering the 2023-24 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors will be looking to prove that they still belong to be in the contender conversation.
The Warriors flamed out in the 2023 NBA Playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers as they lost in six games following a competitive first-round seven-game series against the Sacramento Kings.
Golden State brings back the core of their team in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green and added a wild card in Chris Paul after they dealt away Jordan Poole.
On paper, the Warriors have the talent and tools required to compete again though the age of the roster is certainly concerning as the rest of the Western Conference has only gotten younger and better.
Steve Kerr and the organization are likely counting on the team’s continuity, chemistry, and championship experience to help them get through another regular season and postseason.
Until the new year begins, players like Thompson have been enjoying their time off and he made a special appearance this past weekend via Ball Don’t Lie.
Hardly home, but always reppin’ @KlayThompson pulled up to support his alma mater, Washington State.

Thompson was a star during his days with Washington State and his showing up to their game against Wisconsin must have meant a lot to the students and fans in attendance.
The Cougars would go on to beat the Badgers 31-22 to go 2-0 during the early part of the college season, a great start for the program in the Pac-12.
The Warriors sharpshooter surely had fun watching his alma mater taking home the victory, but the focus for him will soon be shifting to the upcoming season.
