Despite no shortage of NBA talent, Team USA and Steve Kerr couldn’t get the job done in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
They finished in fourth place and couldn’t even bring a medal back home.
That’s why USA Basketball is now ready to bring in the big names for the 2024 Olympics.
According to a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, LeBron James is looking forward to teaming up with the national team (via NBA Central).
BREAKING: LeBron James plans to commit to Team U.S.A. next summer along with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum and Draymond Green, per @ShamsCharania

The report states that he’d be joined by the likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, and Draymond Green.
If that wasn’t enough, De’Aaron Fox, Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, and Kyrie Irving are also showing serious interest in committing.
The gap between Team USA and the rest of the world has gotten as narrow as it can possibly be, and it’s not enough to send an alternative squad anymore.
Of course, playing for the national team is a major commitment, especially for veterans, because you cannot rest between seasons.
But if that’s what it takes to put the U.S. back on top and win the ultimate honor, then so be it.
Enjoy it while it lasts, Serbia, the NBA is coming at you.
