The Cleveland Browns put on a show in Week 1 as they played host to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns Stadium and proceeded to dominate the team many expect to be a Super Bowl title contender in the AFC.
One of the main reasons for the Browns’ dominance in Week 1 against Burrow and company was due to their play on the defensive side of the football, as Cleveland didn’t let up defensively, leading to a career-low 82 passing yards for the Bengals’ superstar quarterback.
At one point, the Bengals seemed so overmatched against the Browns defense that it seemed like star defensive end Myles Garrett was toying with Cincinnati’s offensive line.
It became so comical that it sparked a reaction from Charlotte Hornets star point guard LaMelo Ball because Garrett looked like he was pretending to bounce a basketball between his legs before rushing at Burrow to get the sack.

Garrett ended up with one of the two sacks on Burrow during Week 1 in Cleveland and helped the Browns cruise to a 24-3 win over their division rivals while putting the league on notice that their defense is for real this season.
With one divisional win in the books, the Browns will try to keep it going in Week 1 with Garrett and company going on the road to face the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, formerly known as Heinz Field.
If the defense continues to play at a high level and Deshaun Watson gets it done offensively, Cleveland could become a legitimate title contender in the coming weeks.
