Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was recently asked whether he believes he is the best point guard in NBA history, and although he gave it a good long pause before answering, the four-time NBA champion eventually said he is the best point guard ever.
This sent a bit of a shockwave throughout the league, with this debate only having two genuine contenders for the distinction, with Curry going head-to-head with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
Most basketball fans still go with Johnson as the best point guard of all time for all that he accomplished while being the face of the Lakers franchise and all that he has done for the NBA in general.
However, this generation of players and fans also has a lot of love for Curry and what he’s done for the game, as he singlehandedly changed how it is played.
When Warriors star Draymond Green was recently posed with the question, he sided with his longtime teammate over the Michigan State legend, via ClutchPoints.
“What he’s done to the game of basketball… like how can he not be? … It’s very easy one for me. I gotta roll with the dawg that I rolled in with and that’s Steph Curry.”

With Green witnessing everything that Curry has done for the game firsthand, it is not all that surprising that he would pick the Warriors superstar in this debate, even though he has a lot of ties to Johnson.
While Curry plays out the last years of his career in the league, however long that may be, this will likely continue to be a hot topic of discussion, especially if he continues to compete for titles.
