The New York Knicks made a significant financial investment when they signed Jalen Brunson from the Dallas Mavericks.
Now, they’ve set a major precedent and could be forced to make a similar financial commitment to another young guard.
According to Heavy’s Sean Deveney, young star Immanuel Quickley could demand a similar payday to Brunson — four years and $104 million (via NBA Central).
Immanuel Quickley could be seeking Jalen Brunson type money from the Knicks, per @SeanDeveney

Deveney states that he could get at least something in the range of four years and $80 million.
While not a starter, Quickley has been one of the most proficient and efficient players for Tom Thibodeau.
Coach Thibodeau usually keeps rookies and young players on a short leash, but that hasn’t been the case with Quickley.
With a skill set that reminds us of Jamal Crawford, Quickley has been an instant offensive spark off the bench for the Knicks.
He’s got the potential to be a 20+ point, 5+ assists per game kind of guy and a perennial candidate for Sixth Man of the Year.
And while that could sound like a lot of money for a Sixth Man, let’s not ignore the fact that Jaylen Brown just got paid $304 million over five years, so this could become the new standard deal for players of his caliber.
Also, the Knicks have steadily improved every single season since he made it to the league, and they cannot afford to lose one of their best bucker-getters.
Quickley is due for a major payday, and he’s earned every single penny of that deal that’s coming his way.
