The New York Jets entered their Monday Night Football matchup with high expectations.

Aaron Rodgers was expected to be the missing piece of this offense, bringing hope to the entire fanbase.

However, just moments into the game, Rodgers went down with a leg injury, sucking the life out of MetLife Stadium.

If Peter Schrager’s recent comments are any indication, it appears that energy has continued.

In a segment of “Good Morning Football,” Schrager said, “I’ve been texting with three different Jets coaches for the last several hours. They haven’t slept.”

“It’s 7:05 in the morning, and I’ve been texting with three different Jets coaches for the last several hours. They haven’t slept.
They’re like so many Jets fans this morning. They’re devastated over Rodgers, and devastated 𝘧𝘰𝘳 Rodgers.”

It seems that everyone in this organization is in complete disarray after this news, and fans have echoed a similar sentiment.

Schrager later talked about the coaches and fans, saying, “They’re devastated over Rodgers, and devastated for Rodgers.”

This is not how the Jets’ season was supposed to play out.

Rodgers was supposed to come into this offense, make an immediate impact, and lead the Jets to the Super Bowl.

He believed it would happen, and several analysts and pundits began to get on board as well.

Now, the wind has completely been taken out of the organization’s sails.

Schrager’s comments indicate that everyone is suffering.

How will the Jets move on from the loss of the future Hall of Fame quarterback?

While they won this game, they might have lost the war if Rodgers isn’t able to return to the field for the rest of the season.

This is a developing story with more updates to follow on what will happen next for this team.
