The New York Jets won their first game of the 2023 season despite losing Aaron Rodgers to injury.
This was largely due to the spectacular play of their defense, who forced three interceptions from Josh Allen.
While the Jets played well in many respects, Collin Cowherd believes Robert Saleh is not getting enough credit.
“I thought it was incredible coaching,” Cowherd said via The Volume.

Cowherd talked about all of the emotions of this game, and how Saleh was able to overcome them with a victory.
This game fell on the anniversary of 9/11, and there were several tributes throughout the night regarding this tragedy.
Cowherd believes Saleh handled everything as well as humanely possible given the circumstances.
After Aaron Rodgers went down, Saleh immediately handed the keys of the offense over to Zach Wilson.
This demonstrated a level of trust in a player who has struggled in his young career, which Cowherd applauded.
While this game might not have been what the Jets were expecting, they ultimately came away with a win over a tough divisional opponent.
The Bills were said to be one of the AFC’s top teams heading into the season.
This victory is an indication that the Jets’ defense is as good as advertised and that they are capable of winning without Rodgers.
However, the NFL Season is long.
Ultimate judgment will be reserved for a few months, as the Jets will have to figure out their next steps.
As long as Saleh is their head coach, as Cowherd indicates, they will be in good hands.
