A few weeks ago, Giannis Antetokounmpo scared fans of the Milwaukee Bucks when he suggested that he’d maybe move to a different team if it led to another championship victory.
Since then, people have been wanting to hear him state he is committed and happy with the Bucks.
While he hasn’t made any big statements since then, the team’s new head coach, Adrian Griffin, recently spoke about this relationship with Antetokounmpo.
He told Eric Nehm of The Athletic that they are working hard – together – toward the same goal.
“Giannis and I are on the same page. We have a great relationship thus far. He’s been pleasant to get to know and he wants to win and I want to win and it’s that simple,” Griffin said.

It is very important that Griffin really has a good relationship with Antetokounmpo.
He is the sort of player that could demand a new coach and get one.
Few players have that sort of power but Antetokounmpo definitely does.
Even the most pessimistic Bucks fans believe that Antetokounmpo will be with the team for at least another season.
He isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet.
But if things don’t go well in 2023-24, he might start talking about moving away from Milwaukee more.
That means that a lot is on Griffin’s shoulders right now and success is mandatory.
It all starts with a good bond between him and Antetokounmpo since the team cannot thrive if the coach and its biggest star don’t see eye-to-eye.
But Griffin claims that they are working well and the future is bright for the Bucks.
In just a few weeks, NBA fans will see if he’s right.
