Dwayne Wade was recently inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame.
Throughout the Hall of Fame ceremony, Wade’s impact on the game was on display as many gave him kudos for his performances.
Wade has also been known as a positive person off the court as well.
This was recently highlighted by Legion Hoops, who shared a story of Wade’s uplifting message to one of his fans.
Reddit user claims he received Facebook DM from DWade 15 years ago and just now saw it.

Wade seemingly sent this message unprompted and shared some positive words of encouragement for this fan.
One of the phrases he used was, “I always appreciate the love back,” indicating that he reads this fans’ comments.
Even though they found this message 15 years after it was sent, the fan seemingly appreciated this impromptu message from one of the NBA’s biggest stars.
The NBA Season is a long, grueling process.
Throughout the year, players succumb to various injuries, get mentally fatigued, and have to deal with hate from fans as well.
Wade appreciated this fan’s kind words, as they used a social media platform for good rather than to tear someone down.
In today’s day and age, fans and their favorite public figures are closer than ever before.
Social media has brought the two groups together, but that has caused more harm than good at times.
If fans lose a bet at the hands of one of these athletes, or if they cause their favorite team to lose, they let that player know about it on social media.
At the end of the day, NBA athletes are just trying to make a living playing the game they love.
