When Micah Parsons was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, it made an instant impact on their franchise.

He has quickly become one of the team’s leaders after just two seasons with the team.

In those two years, Parsons has achieved the Defensive Rookie of the Year award and is a two-time first-team All-Pro.

After two seasons of dominant play, Parsons is already seeking a contract extension.

According to Parsons via Bleacher Report, “I gotta go out there and earn that right, and hopefully follow suit one day.”

“I gotta go get it myself.”

This directly references Nick Bosa, who Parsons believes is the best defensive player in the league.

Bosa was recently signed to the largest defensive contract in league history.

Many pundits believe Parsons will be given a similar contract from the Cowboys, assuming he has another great season.

Bosa made a similar impact on the San Francisco 49ers that Parsons has done on the Cowboys.

He is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, and Parsons is hoping he can get to that level in 2023.

Parsons began the year on a high note, achieving three tackles and one sack against Daniel Jones.

If he continues at that pace, Parsons will be well on his way to being discussed as one of the NFL’s top players.

For now, he appears hungry to continue to train and keep being one of the Cowboys’ leaders.

Can the Cowboys make a deeper postseason run this season knowing Parsons has increased motivation?

After a 40-0 victory to begin the season, they are well on their way.
