The New York Jets entered the 2023 season with high expectations.
Many expected them to compete for the AFC East title, especially knowing Aaron Rodgers was their quarterback.
With Rodgers now out for the season with an Achilles tear, the Jets move on, hoping to keep those aspirations alive.
Peter Schrager outlined two members of the Jets’ organization that have a massive redemption opportunity with Rodgers out.
In a recent segment of “Good Morning Football,” Schrager pointed to Zach Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett, hoping they utilize this second chance.
Perhaps no two men had more humbling and crushing 2022 seasons than Zach Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett.

Hackett had a head coaching opportunity in 2022 after his brilliance as an OC with the Green Bay Packers.
Due to some organizational miscues and a down year, he was fired by the Denver Broncos before the season had concluded.
Now, he has an opportunity along with Wilson to prove he hasn’t been propped up by Rodgers, but that his offensive schemes are game-changing.
Wilson will also get another chance to be the Jets’ starting quarterback.
Bringing in Rodgers was a sign that the team wasn’t confident in him as their full-time starter.
Unless the Jets quickly sign a worthy starter, Wilson is slated to be the guy for the rest of the season.
Hackett and Wilson both have a chance to prove they can stick around in the Jets organization.
Will both rise to the occasion now that the stakes have been raised?
Fans will quickly find out what this team is made of, given the Jets’ difficult schedule for the rest of the 2023 campaign.
