Analyst Tells Jets To Pursue Super Bowl Champion QB

The New York Jets have a big decision to make right now.

HC Robert Saleh has already made it clear that they’re going to stick with Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback for now, but that could change if he continues to struggle the way he’s struggled throughout the course of his brief career.

Also, there are no guarantees whatsoever with that offensive line of theirs, so even if he plays well, there’s still a chance he will end up hurt and missing time.

That’s why finding a suitable backup is of the utmost importance right now, knowing that whoever they bring might as well end up taking the field at some point.

With that in mind, NFL insider Sal Paolantonio made a case for them to go after Nick Foles, stating that he’s a quick study who runs an RPO offense and gets the ball out of his hand quickly, has some likable attributes as a locker room guy, and more importantly, he’s done it before.

The rest of the set on ESPN’s “Get Up” didn’t exactly agree with Paolantonio, reminding him of Foles’ poor tenures with both the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, although they did admit that he’d be a good choice just because he’s currently a free agent.

Foles has fared well in a backup role, but he’s not much of a starter material at this point in his career.

Then again, it’s not like the Jets will have a lot of options or candidates for the job right now.
