The Los Angeles Rams have been picked by many pundits to be a bad team this season, but they started off their 2023 campaign with an impressive 30-13 win over a Seattle Seahawks team that will likely make the playoffs again.
However, the Rams will face a stiff test in Week 2 when they host the San Francisco 49ers, who are coming off a 30-7 destruction of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 49ers are chock-full of talent and possess arguably the NFL’s best defense, but their running game on offense is also a big concern for opponents.
When asked how L.A. should deal with San Francisco’s offense, safety Jordan Fuller said stopping the run is job one, via NFL Network.

Outside of the New York Jets, the Niners likely have the best running back duo around in Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell.
McCaffrey ran for 152 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, and he is a true dual-threat tailback who is always a threat to catch passes out of the backfield.
Versatility is the name of the game for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense, as wide receiver Deebo Samuel occasionally lines up in the backfield, and the 49ers have multiple players who are adept at adding yards after the catch.
The Rams defense is a big concern, as they lost linebacker Bobby Wagner and cornerback Jalen Ramsey this offseason.
Luckily, they still have defensive tackle Aaron Donald, and although he may be starting to show signs of wear and tear, he’s still, at the very least, one of the game’s best at his position.
Unfortunately for them, star wide receiver Cooper Kupp will be out for at least three more games, which will seriously compromise their offense, especially against a savage Niners defense.
