Aaron Rodgers was set for the next chapter in his career as he was expected to lead the New York Jets deep into the playoffs.
Rodgers was met with applause and cheers when he took the field for the first time in front of the Jets’ home crowd but his debut didn’t last long as he was helped off the field after taking a sack in the first quarter.
It was later announced that Rodgers ruptured his Achilles and would be out for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season, an absolutely brutal blow for New York.
The Jets would eventually win the game, but losing Rodgers for the year made it hard for anyone to celebrate.
Facing a lengthy rehab, Rodgers will be looking to return for the 2024 NFL season but it remains to be seen just how effective he can be after suffering such a devastating injury.
However, his former teammate James Jones wants to him try and get back to a Super Bowl via Speak.

James won a Super Bowl championship with Rodgers during their time together with the Green Bay Packers so it’s no surprise to hear him say that he’d like to see him get back to the title game.
Rodgers has come up short several times trying to get back to the Super Bowl, but it would make for quite the story if he’s able to return next year and lead the Jets there.
