The Philadelphia Eagles entered the season as the team to beat in the NFC, even ahead of the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles are 2-0 and have put up 25 and 34 points in back-to-back weeks, but it seems like they’re not as good as they were last season.
That’s why former Cowboys star Michael Irvin is confident that the Cowboys are a better team than the Eagles right now, mostly because of continuity.
The legendary wideout pointed out the fact on “Undisputed” that even Eagles OC Brian Johnson admitted there were some sloppy plays, and he seemed concerned by Jalen Hurts’ statements.
.@MichaelIrvin88 explains why the Cowboys are better than the Eagles right now:
“Jalen Hurts said ‘this is a work in progress.’ When I hear that from the QB, that means something is affecting this team in a great way.” pic.twitter.com/L5lTqz9yPv

Hurts said that they’re currently a “work in progress,” and Irvin believes that there might be something else that’s bothering the team behind closed doors.
Johnson was a part of the staff but was just recently promoted to offensive coordinator to fill in for Shane Steichen, so some growing pains could be normal for a team changing top staffers.
The Cowboys looked spectacular in the season opener, but the New York Giants didn’t do themselves any favors.
Likewise, as good as their roster is, they’ve only played one game this season, and it’ll take some time to make these kinds of assessments.
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: The race to the NFC mountaintop and the Super Bowl is going to be one for the ages, as there are at least three teams that could legitimately make a strong case for representing the conference in the biggest game of the year.
