The NBA has dealt with the issue of load management from superstars over the past few seasons.
It has resulted in constant criticism from former players and fans of the sport.
After being silent on the situation for a couple of years, the NBA has finally implemented a policy to contain excessive load management.
The new rule prevents NBA teams from resting more than one star player on any given night.
Following the new policy, several teams in the league are worried.
Renowned NBA analyst Brian Windhorst recently named the two teams that will struggle the most due to the new rule.
Windhorst revealed the names via NBA on ESPN on YouTube.
Windhorst believes the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will be affected the most by the league’s new anti-load management policy.
It’s no surprise that the veteran analyst picked these two teams.
For starters, the Lakers have two superstars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
On the other hand, the Clippers have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who can be classified as stars.
To put things into perspective, Leonard has played just 104 games over the last three seasons, while George has featured in 141 games in the same time frame.
As for the Lakers, James will be exempt from this rule due to his age and time in the league.
That’s a massive sigh of relief for the Purple and Gold.
After all, Davis and James have played 156 and 132 games, respectively, in the past three years.
Will the new rule ruin the two heavyweights’ chances of becoming NBA champions?
Only time will tell.
