NFL Veteran Is Officially Retiring As A Cincinnati Bengal

The Cincinnati Bengals have a long history with many great players that have come through their franchise.

They have one of the best wide receivers in the NFL in Ja’Marr Chase.

But before Chase, there was another great wide receiver who played for the Bengals.

With the fourth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Bengals selected wide receiver A.J. Green.

He ended up being one of the best players in Bengals history.

Green played nine seasons with the Bengals where he had 9,430 yards and 65 touchdowns.

He also made seven straight Pro Bowls to begin his career.

Now that his career is over Green has officially retired as a Bengal.

The Bengals Twitter account released a picture of Green signing his one-day contract.

The Bengals home opener is on Sunday and Green will be recognized throughout the game.

Green was a fan favorite throughout his career in Cincinnati.

Not only was he a great player but he always did things the right way.

Green left a lasting impact on the city of Cincinnati and he will be welcomed back with open arms.

During his playing career, Green had five straight 1,000-yard seasons to begin his career.

Green was one of the most impactful players over the past decade.

Now is his time to be honored for all he gave to the franchise.
