Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have remained the core pieces of the franchise while adding the required centerpieces around them.

Malcolm Brogdon was brought to the team last summer in hopes of improving the roster.

But after playing just one season for the Boston Celtics, the organization is apparently on the lookout for a potential trade for Brogdon, as per Legion Hoops on Twitter.

NBA insider Adam Kaufman started the rumor following one of his recent reports.

Kaufman claimed that he’s hearing a few whispers about the Celtics being on the lookout for trading the veteran guard.

Malcolm Brogdon averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in the 2022-23 season.

He played in 67 games. last season, which makes him a consistent role player.

Considering he’s still 30 years old, there’s still a huge market for him.

Any championship contender in the NBA would love to have him on the roster.

As for the Celtics, the franchise made a huge trade for Kristaps Porzingis in the offseason.

The blockbuster trade helped the Celtics become one of the favorites to win the NBA Championship.

Boston advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2023 playoffs.

But they were eliminated in seven games by the Miami Heat.

Considering the Celtics were down 3-0 in the series, at one point, they certainly gave hope to the fanbase by leveling the series 3-3.

Can the Celtics cross the hump next season? Only time will tell.
