The Portland Trail Blazers made a statement by trading Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks.
It became loud and clear that they had no intention whatsoever to set a dangerous precedent by sending him to his preferred destination, the Miami Heat.
They’re likely to trade defensive star Jrue Holiday, and it’s going to require a steep return to enter the mix for his services.
According to a report by Jared Weiss of The Athletic, the starting price for Holiday will be set at two first-round picks (Via NBA Central).
The starting price to acquire Jrue Holiday will likely be two 1st-round picks, per @JaredWeissNBA

However, he states that multiple teams have the means and the motivation to go beyond that, so there’s a big chance the Blazers will get a very interesting return for Holiday.
Holiday is one of the best and most versatile defenders in the league.
His length and lateral quickness allow him to guard multiple positions, and he’s deadly in passing lanes.
On top of that, he can be an efficient scorer and playmaker who won’t hurt any team on that side of the ball.
Holiday is no Damian Lillard as a scorer, but he’s a plug-and-play guy that could end up moving the scale in favor of a championship contender this season.
