The Milwaukee Bucks are in a strong position to return to the NBA Finals now that they have Damian Lillard.
Since the Lillard trade, tons of NBA fans have been questioning if the Bucks can be categorized as a “superteam.”
Speaking on “The Carton Show,” Plaxico Burress got into a heated debate about that.
He said the Bucks are not a superteam.
“Giannis is super. Dame is super. But you cannot sit there and say that Khris Middleton is one of the top five players in his position,” Burress said.
“This is not a super team. Giannis is super. Dame is super. But you cannot sit there and say that Khris Middleton is one of the top five players in his position.”

The conversation was started because of a quote that Lillard gave a couple of years ago.
At the time, he said he would “never” join a superteam.
Some people feel that he is going back on his word now that he’s signed up with the Bucks.
However, there are certain things to remember.
Firstly, the definition of a superteam isn’t clear.
For many people, it is a squad that is assembled via trades to acquire at least three superstars who didn’t join the league together.
But it means different things to different people so it isn’t clear if the Bucks are a superteam or not.
Secondly, Lillard said in that quote from a few years ago that he doesn’t control his fate in the league.
If a team wants to trade him, he has to go where he is told.
Therefore, even if the Bucks are a superteam and Lillard didn’t want to join, he doesn’t have a choice.
Thirdly, the league has rarely been so competitive.
It’s hard to envision a path to the Finals without several superstar players.
If Lillard wants to win a championship soon – and he does – he might have to accept his fate and play with a team that could be considered “super” by some.
