The Detroit Tigers are finishing up a tough season this weekend.
Even though they will not be in the playoffs, they can celebrate the final few games of Miguel Cabrera’s career.
The future Hall of Famer spent 16 years with the Tigers and has put up some monster numbers.
From 2005-2016 there may not have been a better player in the sport than Cabrera.
According to MLB Stats, Cabrera had elite annual averages during his prime.
He batted .326 with 33 home runs and 115 RBI, and an OPS of .975.

Cabrera was at the top of many statistical leaderboards during his career.
He won the Triple Crown in 2012 and won back-to-back MVP awards.
Cabrera won seven Silver Sluggers and four batting titles during his prime.
Even though Cabrera has lost a step over the past few years, he was still a great clubhouse guy for the Tigers.
Cabrera has been lauded by many for being a great teammate.
His presence in MLB will be missed but the production he gave to the Tigers will never be forgotten.
When talking about the greatest right-handed hitters of all time, Cabrera has to be mentioned.
He has 3,173 career hits and 511 home runs.
Plus, he has a career batting average of .307.
Even though Cabrera could not lead the Tigers to a World Series title, they did win the AL pennant in 2012.
Cabrera is going to go down as one of the top players in Tigers history.
It will be a great day in Tigers history when he is inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
