Even after a few days, it hasn’t quite settled in that the Milwaukee Bucks acquired Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.

All offseason, the talk of the NBA was where Lillard would end up, and after being linked to teams like the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors the All-NBA guard ends up with the 2021 NBA Champions.

Alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Lillard now has the best opportunity of his career to capture his first title and cement his legacy as one of the best players in history.

Losing Jrue Holiday will hurt Milwaukee’s defense, but what they lose on that end they make up for in spades on the offensive end as Lillard is a one-man flamethrower capable of torching defenses from anywhere on the court.

The Eastern Conference arms race has been fun to watch over the summer, so the Bucks still have a tough road to get back to the Finals.

In the meantime, fans were treated to their first look at Lillard in his new threads via NBACentral.

The excitement hasn’t quieted down yet and for good reason, as it’s not every day that a team acquires a bonafide superstar.

He’s covering the middle of the jersey, but it looks like Lillard will continue wearing No. 0 and that should be a popular selling jersey for the Bucks fans who have a renewed sense of hope that they can win another championship.

With the 2023-24 NBA season coming up, Lillard will need to spend these next few weeks trying to build some chemistry with his new teammates but there’s no doubt that he’ll fit right in.
