The Denver Nuggets are coming off an NBA season in which Nikola Jokic and his squad were able to dominate the competition throughout the regular season and during the playoffs.
Even though Mike Malone’s squad had its fair share of doubters, and understandably so, considering the franchise had never won it all, the Nuggets still went on to win a title with relative ease.
In classic Jokic fashion, the veteran center headed back home to Serbia to spend his NBA offseason in peace, and during that time, he chose to barely touch a basketball, which seems to be his style of disconnecting.
During Media Day for the Nuggets, the two-time NBA MVP admitted that he touched a basketball only a couple of times during the summer, according to Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports via NBACentral.

Some NBA players are gym rats and are entirely dedicated to improving their craft throughout the summer in order to be that much better when the regular season rolls back around, but Jokic isn’t that guy, nor should he be if this is what works for him and the Nuggets.
With a lot of teams around the league upgrading their rosters in order to contend with the Nuggets, it’ll be interesting to see if Denver can remain the dominant force that wiped the floor with the competition last season.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and Phoenix Suns all made substantial moves, which will make it that much harder for Jokic and company to repeat.
