The Denver Nuggets took home the NBA Finals title after the 2022-2023 NBA Season.
While they were a juggernaut throughout the season, it appears they might have made an enemy along the way.
In a recent interview shared via NBA Central, Anthony Davis discussed his feelings toward the Nuggets ahead of the 2023-2024 campaign.
Davis spoke for himself and other Los Angeles Lakers teammates, saying, “We get it, y’all won, but me and Bron had some conversations,” adding, “We can’t wait to play them.”

“It was just a lot of talking. We get it, y’all won, but me and Bron had some conversations… we can’t wait [to play them].”

LeBron James and Davis are widely viewed as the Lakers’ biggest stars, their biggest on-court contributors.
It appears that both of them were tired of the Nuggets talk, and hoping to put them in their place during the upcoming season.
Thankfully for Davis, the Lakers won’t have to wait long to face off against their alleged foes.
The Nuggets and Lakers play each other on October 24th, the home opener for the reigning champs.
If Davis’ comments are any indication of the current climate between these two teams, this game could have a lot of energy and emotion tied to it.
The Nuggets swept the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals last season en route to their NBA Championship.
For the Lakers, it is seemingly personal, wanting to get revenge on the team that took away their title chances.
Throughout the offseason, the Lakers have added several pieces to bolster their roster, including Christian Wood and Gabe Vincent.
Will their additions make a difference in taking down the defending champs?
