If you saw him perform last year in the postseason, you probably don’t need a reminder of how good Philadelphia Phillies slugger Bryce Harper is in October.

He was a monster and took over games, with his most important home run giving the Phils a pennant against the San Diego Padres.

Still, the numbers confirm what we all know and it’s worth examining them: Harper is a playoff beast.

MLB Stats reminds us some of Harper’s postseason totals and rates, and they are all impressive.

A .273 batting average, 11 home runs, and a .962 OPS in 36 games are a good way to start discussing his resume.

If we talk about impact power when the lights are brighter, Harper certainly delivers.

He also has 23 RBI.

Some of these numbers were achieved with the Washington Nationals, where he won multiple division crowns.

With them, he played in four editions of the postseason: in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017.

He couldn’t make it out of the Division Series with the Nats, though.

His best postseason moments came last year with the Phillies.

Harper opened the year on the injured list after undergoing Tommy John surgery in the offseason.

However, after a few weeks with a middling performance, he caught fire and finished with 21 home runs and a .900 OPS in 126 games.

He started playing like the Harper we all know as he got more comfortable with his elbow.

Now, he seems set to try and return to the Fall Classic after the Phillies’ improbable run last year.

He has set his sights on winning his first World Series as a player.
