Recently, Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis admitted that he doesn’t have a lot of love for the Denver Nuggets right now.
A lot of things were said before, during, and after that sweep in the Western Conference Finals, and the beef even included Nuggets coach Mike Malone.
That’s why Rachel Nichols believes this could become the beginning of a new rivalry brewing in the Western Conference, and she’s all for it.
In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” Nichols claimed that she wants all the trash-talking, pushing, and shoving during opening night.
Anthony Davis says the Nuggets trash talk is “very motivational”:

And while she doesn’t believe the Lakers are going to spend the entire season worried or focusing on the Nuggets, these two teams will have to meet at some point down the line, and rivalry games are always fun.
There’s no denying that this has the makings of a new rivalry.
Bruce Brown Jr. dissed the Lakers last season, and while he’s no longer with the team, you know there’s still animosity there.
Of course, it’ll be up to Davis to back up the talk night in and night out, as he’s struggled with inconsistency throughout the course of his career, and that included the series with the Nuggets.
But these two teams are expected to compete for an NBA championship again, so there’s a big chance they’ll have to square off come playoff time.
