Football fans and experts wrote off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following Tom Brady’s permanent retirement.
They went from having the winningest quarterback of all time to Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask on their depth chart.
Eventually, the former Heisman trophy winner inherited Brady’s spot as Buccaneers starting quarterback.
Everyone thought the Bucs would struggle.
Therefore, it’s safe to say that the Buccaneers have shocked many people after racing to a 3-1 start.
More importantly, Mayfield is a massive reason for their success.
That’s why FS1’s Emmanuel Acho believes in what Mayfield is doing.
“All I’m saying is, Shady (LeSean McCoy) is that I believe in what Baker has done. I believe in what Baker is doing. That’s a squad you won a Super Bowl with,” Acho said in a recent episode of Speak.

The Oklahoma product does have an NFL playoff victory on his resume.
However, inconsistency and poor field vision have been the greatest knocks against him.
The latter was what Odell Beckham Jr.’s father highlighted in a video.
But at the moment, Mayfield is impressively navigating the Tampa Bay offense.
Through four games, he has a 69.6 completion percentage (87 out of 125) for 882 yards, seven touchdowns, and only two interceptions.
His best game came in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, where he threw for 317 yards and a touchdown.
While Acho believes in what he’s doing, the Buccaneers have 13 regular season games left, and the tough stretch of opponents hasn’t even started.
But if he can lead Tampa Bay to their fourth consecutive postseason appearance, then many people may start believing in Mayfield besides Acho.
