It’s been a busy offseason for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
While there aren’t that many new faces in Southern California, GM Rob Pelinka made sure to bring in some players who were perfect fits for what they needed and the rest of the guys in the locker room.
However, the No. 1 priority was always continuity, meaning that they wanted to keep their core together to give them a full offseason to develop even more chemistry and rapport on and off the court.
That’s why LeBron James decided to take Rui Hachimura under his wing, and the two have been working out tirelessly throughout the course of the offseason, as shown in a clip shared by the Lakers.

James jokingly claimed that he’s been like Mr.Miyagi to the former Washington Wizards forward, who made an immediate impact as soon as he arrived in Hollywood.
Trading for Hachimura kicked off a series of very interesting moves, and the early returns of their new-look lineup were very positive.
The Lakers were the second-best team in the league after the trade deadline, going from a borderline playoff team all the way to the Western Conference Finals.
It goes without saying that Hachimura is no LeBron James, but they do have similar build and physical traits.
Learning how to make the most of your body from one of the most physically imposing players of all time should do wonders for Rui’s game, and it’s nice to see that he’s fully committed to getting better and soaking in as much information as he can.
