After a successful run during the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Anthony Edwards looked primed and ready to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Even with Karl-Anthony Towns on the roster, it’s clear that the Timberwolves’ are Edwards’ team and he has stepped up and assumed the mantle as the face of the franchise.
A talented scorer with otherworldly athleticism, Edwards has the ability to become one of the NBA’s best superstars and this season will be his chance to prove it.
Minnesota has been starved for a championship, but with Edwards on the roster, there’s some hope that they can finally get to the top of the league.
However, Edwards and the Timberwolves are going to have to overcome the gauntlet that is the Western Conference as there are several teams with championship aspirations.
Despite his young age, Edwards already seems to have a grasp on what it takes to win a title as he pointed out he needs everyone in the organization pulling together via NBA.

Edwards has definitely grown up during the first few years he’s been in the league as he already understands the importance of what his teammates can bring to the table.
He also astutely points out the role of the front office in helping build a team that can capably compete with the heavyweights in the league.
Edwards’ rise to superstardom has been a joy to watch, though it feels like off the court he’s making strides as well.
While the road ahead will be a difficult one, Edwards looks and sounds ready to tackle it head on.
