Team USA is going to have quite a few major NBA stars on the roster for the 2024 Olympics.
We have already heard that LeBron James, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Joel Embiid are interested in playing for the national team in next summer’s games.
And now another big athlete has joined: Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat.
According to Tim Reynolds, via NBACentral, Adebayo will have a spot on the team’s 12-man roster.

The inclusion of Adebayo could work wonders for the team.
The Americans suffered defeat in the recent FIBA Basketball World Cup for a number of reasons.
However, many fans pointed out that the team didn’t have a definitive center who could hold down the frontcourt and work on offense as well as defense.
They had plenty of strong shooters who could produce points all over the court, but they didn’t have a lot of defensive big men.
Adebayo is the exact sort of player that the team needs.
In 2022-23, Adebayo posted 20.4 points and 9.2 rebounds for his Heat.
He was a huge part of why Miami went all the way to the Finals.
Team USA might end up having a plethora of players to choose from.
They are putting together a roster that is unlike any we have seen before and American fans are in for a real treat if all of the players remain healthy and are able to suit up next summer.
When the World Cup ended, Team USA made it clear that they were going to do whatever was needed to turn things around.
Adebayo is a big step to earning redemption.
