The New England Patriots continue to struggle vastly, failing to move the chains and boasting one of the most pedestrian and stagnant offenses in the league.

But as much as people want to blame Mac Jones for their poor play, he’s not the only one responsible for this debacle.

According to former QB Dan Orlovsky, Bill Belichick also deserves plenty of blame for his struggles.

In the latest edition of “Get Up,” Orlovsky stated that the Patriots hadn’t made a single move to help Jones since he arrived on the team, either by signing or trading for a bona fide position player or offensive lineman.

He also talked about how last year was a disaster, and they put him in a terrible spot, and while Bill O’Brien’s hiring should’ve done a lot to help him, they’re still running the same offense around him.

Truth be told, Jones doesn’t look impressive at all, and chances are he’ll never be more than a middle-of-the-pack quarterback at best.

But he’s not been given any help or put in a position to succeed either.

Belichick has been back-and-forth with his support for him, and he’s failed to send a message of trust and confidence in his QB1.

More than that, the Patriots’ offense is outdated and predictable, and they’re not playing to their quarterback’s strengths.

At this point, perhaps the best thing that could happen to him would be that the Patriots give up on him and he finds himself a new home somewhere else.
