With Damian Lillard recently getting traded to the Milwaukee Bucks and Jrue Holiday ultimately landing with the Boston Celtics, all the attention in the NBA in terms of players that could be traded before the start of the 2023-24 season has been directed to James Harden and his situation with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite requesting a trade months ago and lashing out publicly about Daryl Morey, Harden has yet to be traded to his desired destination of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Harden has let his intentions be known ever since he opted into the last year of his deal with the 76ers, but the team has been reluctant to make a move in the same way the Portland Trail Blazers were with Lillard.

Philadelphia wants the best return they can get for the one-time NBA MVP, but they don’t seem to be getting the offers they want from the Clippers.

With head coach Tyronn Lue focused on the team he has while in training camp in Hawaii, he chose not to talk about Harden when asked what he thinks of him as a player by ESPN’s Malika Andrews via NBA Retweet.

This was a smart move by Lue as he knows whatever he says will do the rounds on social media and all the sports talk shows for the next few days, even though this will get some attention as well.

As for Harden, he has finally reported to training camp with the 76ers and has practiced with the team, but nothing more has come out about his thoughts on the situation, nor has anyone on the team talked about what’s happening in Philadelphia.
