The Los Angeles Lakers will head into the 2023-24 NBA season with one of the deepest rosters in the league, as general manager Rob Pelinka was able to make all the right moves this summer.

Along with keeping the roster relatively intact, the Lakers’ front office was able to add some other pieces to the puzzle by bringing in Gabe Vincent, Taurean Prince, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, and Christian Wood.

With all that talent, especially in the frontcourt, superstar Anthony Davis might be able to take it a bit easy this season, especially considering that his jump shot is reportedly coming around.

As Jovan Buha of The Athletic tells Jason Timpf of The Volume, Davis’ shot-making during the NBA bubble is arguably why the team won the championship that year, and that could pay off once again this year.

“AD’s shot making was arguably the key of that bubble run”

Over the course of training camp, there’s been a lot of buzz about Davis getting back to form as a good shooter, which will be something to watch for during the upcoming 2023-24 campaign, as Los Angeles will need him to excel in order to live up to expectations this season.

Along with Davis making an impression early on, a lot of the young players have been getting praise as well, from Austin Reaves to Max Christie and rookie Jalen Hood-Schifino.

Although the Western Conference is extremely competitive this year, with the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns leading the way, it’ll be interesting to see what the Lakers can do and if they can get back to form as a legitimate title contender.
