The Golden State Warriors organization is top-notch.
Over the past decade or so, they’ve become one of the most respected and popular sports franchises on Earth, and it’s something that transcends the basketball court.
They showed that again a couple of days ago, when stars Klay Thompson and Chris Paul attended their annual game vs. inmates of the San Quentin State Prison, one of the most infamous in the nation.
FOX released an exclusive story on their annual game, which takes place in the prison’s recreation yard and features a Warriors team made of coaches, assistants, and staffers.
Thompson hyped up the home crowd by predicting that San Quentin would take the victory (via NBA Central), and he wasn’t wrong.

The home team actually won 85-80, although the Warriors still hold bragging rights with a 5-3 record against them thus far.
One of the inmates praised the Warriors organization for helping them ‘feel human again.’
This was a big win for the organization, and it wasn’t the only one they got during the weekend.
Steve Kerr’s team got some minor revenge over the Los Angeles Lakers in their first preseason game.
Chris Paul started alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney, and that figures to be the starting group for as long as Draymond Green is out with an injury.
Kerr praised the way the veteran PG pulled the strings of the offense in just a handful of minutes, all while Jonathan Kuminga burst out and looks poised to have a big season.
