The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated their AFC counterparts during the Patrick Mahomes era.
They have won the AFC West in seven straight seasons, a trend that seems likely to repeat in 2023.
As a part of their dominance in the division, the Chiefs have beaten the Denver Broncos in 15 consecutive games.
Ahead of their upcoming Thursday Night Football matchup, Russell Wilson talked about what a potential victory could mean for his team.
“The important thing is that we gotta create a new history,” Wilson said.

Wilson added, “Every game’s a history of its own, but we have to get focused on this one.”
At 1-4, the Broncos haven’t started this season how they would have liked.
A win against the Chiefs could go a long way for their team morale, as the Broncos look to get back on track as an organization.
In Wilson’s two games against the Chiefs last season, he combined to throw four touchdown passes, and two interceptions, along with 469 total passing yards.
While he performed well in these two contests, the Broncos were unable to slow down Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Will this upcoming game yield a different result?
Wilson believes the Broncos have an opportunity to start steering the ship in their direction, especially regarding this matchup.
Divisional games tend to be more emotional, considering both teams play each other twice per year.
This could result in some heated on-field moments, especially if the Chiefs get out to an early lead.
The consensus among Las Vegas sportsbooks has the Chiefs as 10.5-point favorites.
Can Wilson help keep this game close, even resulting in an unlikely victory?
