Despite being just a sophomore in high school, Kiyan Anthony already looks like a future NBA star.
Unsurprisingly, that’s what happens when you get to be coached by Carmelo Anthony.
A 6-foot-3 shooting guard, Anthony is currently ranked as the No. 62 prospect in the class of 2025, and he shared a piece of knowledge his old man told him once.
When asked about the best advice he got from Melo, Kiyan stated that he told him never to let another defender stop him from getting to his spots, which is why he doesn’t hesitate to play through contact (via Swish Cultures).

Kiyan has made the most of his connections as basketball royalty, and has often been spotted working out with other top-notch prospects and current and former NBA players, especially his old man.
Kiyan recently announced that he was transferring from Christ The King to Long Island Lutheran, the No. 12 team in Sports Illustrated’s national rankings.
It seems like Melo doesn’t get enough credit for what he did in the NBA, but he’s one of the greatest scorers in hoops history, and his son now has the chance to build on that legacy.
