The NFL’s worst team every year gets a consolation prize: the top overall pick in next year’s draft.
While that incentive can help turn a team’s fortunes around, one prospect can’t address all the roster concerns.
Five weeks into the 2023 NFL season, the contenders and the cellar-dwellers are starting to shape up.
But among those struggling teams, one franchise stands out for The Rally’s Joshua Perry and Brooke Fletcher.

It’s hard to fathom that Belichick suddenly finds himself at a 1-4 hole with the New England Patriots.
Their recent struggles make the team’s glory days seem like a distant memory.
For now, the Patriots are disastrous, especially on offense.
They have put up only 50 points in five games and have been outscored 72-3 during their last two games.
Worst yet, they were shut out at home 34-0.
As a result, the Patriots are ranked last in points and total yards per game.
However, there are still 12 games left in their season.
Their schedule gets tougher as they face the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins in Weeks 7 and 8.
