One of the most surprising teams in the NFL so far this season has been the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After legendary quarterback Tom Brady retired earlier this year, many figured the Bucs were likely heading into a rebuilding season.
But Tampa Bay apparently had other plans, as they are currently sitting with a 3-1 record after four games, with their only loss coming to the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
Veteran wide receiver Mike Evans has been a big part of the Bucs’ success this season, but thanks to a hamstring injury, his status for the team’s upcoming Week 6 game against the Detroit Lions has been uncertain.
At least it was until Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles revealed on Friday that Evans will be playing on Sunday against the Lions, via Rick Stroud.

Through four games this season, Evans has accumulated 20 catches for 337 yards and three touchdowns.
His receiving-yard total and touchdown catches currently lead all Bucs players this season.
Evans is also on pace to finish the 2023 campaign with at least 1,000 receiving yards, something he has accomplished in each of his previous nine seasons in the NFL.
The veteran wide receiver should have a good chance to find the end zone on Sunday when he goes up against a Lions defense that has given up eight touchdown catches to their opponents this year.
Detroit has been one of the best teams in the league this season, so a win by Tampa Bay this weekend would send a message to everyone else in the league that they are a legit team to be concerned about.
