Fans of the San Antonio Spurs who tuned into Friday night’s preseason game were treated to something truly special, courtesy of incoming rookie Victor Wembanyama.
Wembanyama lived up to the hype.
He scored 23 points on 10-of-15 from the floor, as well as 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.

The vast majority of people were commenting that Wembanyama’s game against the Miami Heat was a prime example of just how great he can be.

Others noted that the rookie looks a lot like a combination of both Rudy Gobert and Kevin Durant.
He has the size, the length, and the shooting ability all wrapped up into one.

Other people said that Wembanyama isn’t the only rookie looking to impress in 2023-24.
Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder might end up competing against Wembanyama for this season’s Rookie of the Year.

As great as Wembanyama was in this preseason game, some people have reminded fans that he will have to prove himself against big names very soon.
Winning in the preseason is a lot easier than winning during the regular season, these fans say.

Wembanyama did incredibly well on Friday and some fans were left speechless.
