Celtics Rookie Shows His Shooting Abilities At Practice

The Boston Celtics didn’t need to add a lot of pieces in the offseason.

They were in the best position a team could be leading to the NBA Draft, meaning they could take a chance on high-upside guys, depending on their fit and their need; they didn’t need a savior or even someone to crack the rotation right away.

However, it seems like one of their second-rounders could play his way onto the floor on Joe Mazzulla’s team.

Rookie Jordan Walsh has drawn solid reviews from training camp because of his three-point shooting, which he displayed in a clip shared by Celtics on CLNS.

Walsh was money from the left side of the arc, knocking down shot after shot and even cracking some dance moves after sinking a shot after a terrible pass from his assistant coach.

Once considered an elite recruit, Walsh’s draft stock took a bit of a hit when he was benched midway through his lone season with the Arkansas Razorbacks.

But he played his way back onto the starting lineup thanks to his length, athleticism, and defensive prowess, and he’s just 19 years old.

Needless to say, he won’t see the court that much in Boston for as long as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are healthy, but he could give them another versatile wing off the bench if need be.

Shooters are always a highly demanded commodity, especially in today’s NBA.

If he keeps up the hard work and keeps working on that shot, he can have a long career in the league.
