After selecting quarterback C.J. Stroud and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. with consecutive picks near the top of the 2023 NFL Draft, the consensus was that the Houston Texans might have a future with the team bringing in potential leaders on both sides of the football.
However, no one believed the Texans would be as good as they have been after six games to start the season, as Stroud is making a strong case to be the best quarterback taken in this draft, leading Houston to three wins in six games.
Although Carolina Panthers’ top pick Bryce Young was being touted as the most NFL-ready rookie quarterback and Anthony Richardson quickly made an impression during his first few games with the Indianapolis Colts, Stroud is looking like the best of the bunch thus far, as he’s more of a well-rounded quarterback with some impressive leadership skills.
On Sunday, Stroud led the Texans to their third win of the season, as they were able to get the best of Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints.
After the game, Stroud spoke with the media and talked about how good this team is as a whole this season and how they play for each other via FOX Sports: NFL.

As Kristina Pink pointed out, Stroud threw his first career interception on Sunday, but it didn’t matter, as he was able to counter that with two touchdowns, which, in the end, proved to be the difference against the Saints.
After their bye week, the Texans will get back to work on Oct. 29 against Young and the Panthers, which Stroud will likely take personally after being passed over by Carolina in the draft.
