There is no bigger critic of the Dallas Cowboys than ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who always makes a point of trashing America’s Team when they fail to live up to expectations or fall flat on their face.
After getting smashed by the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, Smith was one of many who jumped on the Cowboys for their poor performance and inability to show up when the lights are the brightest because they clearly didn’t stand a chance against Kyle Shanahan’s squad.
On Monday Night Football, the Cowboys had a chance to redeem themselves as they were on the road yet again, with the team traveling to SoFi Stadium to take on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
Both of these teams are similar in terms of talent and having a lot of hype around them, but something had to give on Monday, and it did, with Dallas coming out on top with a masterful performance from their defense and Dak Prescott putting in work.
Unlike in the loss to the 49ers, Prescott was poised and ready for this game, as he hurt the Chargers with his arm and his legs, scoring two touchdowns and helping lead the team to victory, which seems to have impressed Smith, via “First Take.”

Even though the Cowboys did come out with the win, it wasn’t a pretty game, as there were a lot of penalties and sloppy play at times during the contest.
Surprisingly enough, Smith didn’t dive into that, as he praised the team and said they can make some noise in the NFC if they continue to play this way.
