The Memphis Grizzlies have one of the rising stars in the game, and they need to do whatever’s in their power to protect him, even from himself.
Ja Morant’s erratic off-court behavior has been discussed often in the league.
Some believe he has every right to bear arms and have some fun, while others are worried about the potential repercussions of his actions and the people he has around him.
That’s why it was nice to see him taking a motivational message from NFL legend Deion Sanders to heart.

People in NBA circles have been quite worried about Morant.
He was given another opportunity by Commissioner Adam Silver before doing what he promised he wouldn’t do again, and that was even after spending some time away from his team and working on his mental health.
Now, he’s going to miss the first 25 games of the season.
Morant won’t be eligible for All-NBA teams or season awards this season as a result of his suspension, and that could have huge financial repercussions in his next contract.
At the end of the day, no one wants to point the finger at a young man still learning the ropes of his NBA career.
He’s one of the faces of the league, and while he didn’t ask to be an example, that’s just a part of the job.
