The NBA has made several changes to the All-Star Game over the years.
Before the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, two teams were divided on the basis of Western and Eastern Conferences.
However, the league then announced the new format where the top vote-getters from each conference became team captains and chose their team.
Well, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is apparently considering bringing back the old All-Star Game format, as revealed by Tim Reynolds via NBACentral on Twitter.

The West vs. East format did have its limitations, as fans’ wishes to see players from different conferences team up never became a reality.
But the current NBA All-Star Game format is a bit tedious.
Moreover, the league introduced another tweak in the current system as team captains picked their respective teams right before the tip-off for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
Well, the NBA has always been open to changes, but it also never shies away from reverting any decision if required.
Either way, the 2024 NBA All-Star Game will remain unchanged.
This season, the top vote-getters from each conference will become team captains and draft their respective teams minutes before the tip-off.
LeBron James is almost certain to be one captain, as he remains one of the most popular players in the world despite entering his 21st season of his career.
Will LeBron James finally be dethroned as a captain?
After all, the West has more big names in the conference than ever, with the likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving all playing in the same conference.
