Before the Milwaukee Bucks were able to bring in superstar Damian Lillard and the Boston Celtics acquired Jrue Holiday, the Phoenix Suns had made the biggest splash of the NBA offseason, with the team acquiring Bradley Beal in a deal with the Washington Wizards.
The addition of Beal to play alongside the superstar duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker was thought to be a game-changer for the Suns and an intimidating sight for all opposing teams during the 2023-24 NBA season.
Even though there have been questions about whether there’s enough ball to go around in Phoenix and if the defense can hold up against some of the best teams in the league, the Suns are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with and are arguably now flying under the radar due to other moves made throughout the league.
On ESPN’s “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith said he believes the Suns will be a “major problem” in the Western Conference and that an argument can be made they’re the best team in the conference.

Until the Denver Nuggets fall off with Nikola Jokic no longer being the dominant player he is, it’s hard to make a case for any team in the West being better than the defending NBA champions.
Yes, the Suns have an intimidating roster with three legitimate superstars at the helm, but the Nuggets are about as well-rounded a team as any in the league today, with the ability to beat any team on any given night.
Phoenix has a lot to prove heading into the upcoming season.
