The Golden State Warriors built most of their dynasty through the draft.
Their trio of superstars has dominated the league for the better part of a decade, and even though they’re not getting any younger, they’ve been the heart and soul of the organization.
They already secured Stephen Curry for the future, and Draymond Green also got his payday at the beginning of the offseason.
Now, it’s time for Klay Thompson to get what he’s earned, and while the rumors state that he could be slated to test free agency, team owner Joe Lacob wants to make it loud and clear that he wants him to stay.
Joe Lacob on Steph, Klay, and Draymond: “I would love more than anything to keep those three guys here through the entirety of their career and we’re gonna try to do that.”

Talking to 95.7 The Game, Lacob affirmed his desire to have Thompson, Curry, and Green all finish their careers in the very same place they started them: in the Bay Area.
Klay has never been a selfish guy, and he’s never made it about money.
He could obviously get a bigger role and perhaps even more money somewhere else, but that has never been his demeanor.
Thompson has also reaffirmed his desire to play for the Warriors for the remainder of his career, so it seems like it should be just a matter of time before both parties meet in the middle and reach an agreement.
Still, the fans won’t bat an eye until that’s actually done.
