It is the end of an era for the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

The fans came out in droves to support Iguodala after he announced the big news.

There were some people surprised to hear that Iguodala wasn’t already done playing in the NBA.

That is understandable because he hasn’t been playing much over the last few years.

In 2022-23, he averaged just 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in just 14.1 minutes per game.

He only suited up for the Warriors eight times last season and it was clear he was reaching the end of his career.

He wasn’t already retired ?!?!?!

But during his NBA tenure, Iguodala was good for 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.

He did a lot for the multiple teams he played for but he was especially impactful for the Warriors.

He became a four-time champion and earned a Finals MVP while playing for Golden State.

Because of that, he will forever be a “Warriors legend” to many.

Many people commended both his intelligence on and off the court.

During his last few years with the Warriors, Iguodala gladly accepted the role of player-coach, inspiring a new generation of talent.

Andre – a true champion on the the court

He will forever be remembered for the amazing work he did for the Warriors, especially during their playoff and championship runs.

Some people thought that Iguodala could have a future as a coach in the NBA because he clearly knows the game inside and out and understands how to lead.

But he will take some time off, be with his family, and then run Mosaic, a $200 million venture capital fund.

He might be done playing in the NBA, but Iguodala will still be a busy man.
