The Miami Heat are known for carefully picking talented players and grooming them into legitimate stars in the NBA.
Most around the league speak highly of the “Heat Culture” and how it benefits young players.
Tyler Herro is a product of the Heat system, as he was picked as the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Since then, Herro has become a vital member of the Heat, as the organization didn’t trade for Damian Lillard in favor of keeping Herro on the roster.
While Herro has several skills in his arsenal, the 23-year-old revealed, via NBACentral on Twitter, that he wishes to become one of the best scorers in the NBA in the future.
“I’m one of the best young scorers in the league and I have the potential to be the best scorer in the NBA at some point,” Herro claimed.

Herro averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game for the Heat last season.
It was his second consecutive season scoring more than 20 points per game.
Considering he’s still only 23 years old, Herro has most of his career ahead of him.
He can certainly improve his scoring numbers in the future because, as of now, he’s the third option on the Heat behind Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
If Herro becomes the No. 1 option on the team, he may have multiple breathtaking scoring seasons.
For now, Herro needs to focus on healing from the hand injury that he suffered in the 2023 playoffs.
If he was fit, the Heat could have won the 2023 NBA Finals.
Unfortunately, Herro missed the entire playoffs due to his hand injury.
