One team that everyone will be watching to start the 2023-24 NBA season will be the New Orleans Pelicans, with superstar forward Zion Williamson finally healthy and ready to get back to work with a chip on his shoulder.
After a forgettable 2022-23 campaign and a bizarre offseason filled with off-the-floor issues, Williamson has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, with many wondering if he’ll ever be able to put it together and live up to expectations in the Big Easy.
Fortunately for Williamson, he has an opportunity to start fresh this year with a leaner physique and the mindset of wanting to prove people wrong while quieting his critics.
With the start of the regular season less than a week away, Williamson got some fans excited with his footage of him going all-out in practice and throwing it down with authority in a one-on-one session, via Will Guillory of The Athletic.

Although Williamson appears ready for the 82-game grind ahead, it remains to be seen if the high-flying act in New Orleans can put it all together and prove his worth to the team, as he has struggled to stay healthy throughout his entire NBA career thus far.
If Williamson can play at a high level while being able to stay healthy, the Pelicans will be one of many dangerous teams in the Western Conference this season, especially if Brandon Ingram is able to do the same in New Orleans.
Before these two stars went down last season, the Pelicans were making a lot of noise as one of the best teams in the West, which showed that if they can stay healthy at the same time, they’ll put the league on notice.
