At 1-5 and last in the AFC West, the Denver Broncos could look to jumpstart their rebuild and sell off some of their talent in exchange for draft picks.
Sean Payton’s arrival as the franchise’s new head coach has done little to help them win as they look just as incompetent on both sides of the ball.
Russell Wilson has looked better in Payton’s system, though the offense leaves much to be desired on a weekly basis.
Defensively, Denver is one of the worst units in the league and the front office has already looked to offload people like Randy Gregory.
Jerry Jeudy is a popular name that should get moved before the deadline, but the Broncos have reportedly been listening to offers on all their players.
However, one name that doesn’t seem likely to be dealt is Patrick Surtain via Jay Glazer of FOX.

A trade is unlikely however. Glazer mentioned there are teams around the league looking for defensive help.

Surtain is one of the best cornerbacks in the league and remains an elite man-to-man player despite the rest of the defense’s struggles.
Although Surtain would fetch the Broncos a haul in a potential trade, they are doing the right thing by holding onto him as he’s a legitimate superstar on that side of the field and can still be part of the next phase of football for the organization should they move on from other pieces.
Instead of Surtain, players like Kareem Jackson, Justin Simmons, or Zach Allen could be moved instead.
If the Broncos lose against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7, the team might not have a choice but to make some trades.
